VOA’s New Studio Tour

Come visit us and see what we do

In April, VOA opened a new public Studio Tour to give visitors a live behind-the-scenes look at our radio, television, and Internet production.

The free tour offers a unique combination of new technology along with the human touch. A tour guide leads each group of visitors, offering insight and answering questions, while additional tour information is conveyed in a radio broadcast delivered through headsets. This ensures that everyone hears the entire presentation.

“This gives our visitors the flavor of a VOA radio broadcast, and an entertaining way to learn about VOA’s history and highlights,” explains VOA Director David Jackson. During the 45-minute tour, visitors see many of VOA’s award-winning websites, and watch our broadcasters produce live radio and television. “Our visitors will leave with a real appreciation of how we do what we do, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” says tour manager Andrea Tadic, a former Croatian Service broadcaster.

If you are planning to be in the Washington, D.C. area, come by and see us. You can sign up for our free tours at www.VisitVOA.com, or by sending an e-mail to tickets@VOANews.com.
