In Focus, a magazine format, will include interviews with American and African government officials, discussions, special segments devoted to health and other issues, entertainment and human interest stories.
Vincent Makori and Ndimyake Mwakalyelye are the co-hosts. Makori previously anchored the television call-in program Africa Journal, and Mwakalyelye hosted Perspectives, a weekday television news brief.
VOA (www.VOANews.com) airs In Focus Monday-Friday, 1630 -1700 UTC/GMT on Intelsat 907 and New Skies 703 satellites, with repeat transmissions immediately following. TV Africa in Accra, Ghana, WBS in Kampala, Uganda and Citizen TV in Nairobi, Kenya will carry the program.
