Eduardo Kachscovsky, Director of VOA Studio and Production Operations


Eduardo Kachscovsky, Director of Studio and Production Operations, leads the team responsible for television and radio studios, master control, traffic and remote operations, which broadcast nearly 2,000 hours of content each week to Voice of America’s weekly worldwide audience.

Prior to joining VOA, in March 2018, Kachscovsky was Vice President of Production for Univision Television Group, where he oversaw several newscast redesigns, revamping the graphics, music packages, TV sets, and lighting. His leadership skills were recognized by his peers within Univision, as he developed a team of expert trainers and created the first comprehensive graphics distribution system. Kachscovsky also coordinated the look and feel for the transition to HD for the 20 TV stations within Univision. He has extensive experience in special events and has worked as Executive Producer/Director for political debates, concerts, town halls, and parades. As a Director of Creative Services, he produced shows, promos and commercials and was the director of the local newscasts for 13 years at KMEX television in Los Angeles.

Kachscovsky was born, raised, and educated in Argentina where he worked as a recording engineer at EMI/Capitol Records. He left during the military dictatorship of the 1970's and moved to Los Angeles.

He's the winner of twelve Emmy awards, including five Emmys for personal achievement as best director in Los Angeles. In addition, he has received two Edward R. Murrow awards as a team member for best newscast. A 25-year member of the Academy of Television Arts and Science, Kachscovsky has served several terms as an executive committee member.
