Leili Soltani, Persian Division (Acting)

Leili Soltani is the Acting Director of VOA’s Persian language broadcasts to Iran. An award-winning television journalist with more than 18 years of experience, Soltani began her career at Voice of America’s sister network under USAGM, Radio Farda in Washington D.C., as a broadcast journalist. After joining VOA in 2007, she worked as a radio host, television reporter and anchor, investigative journalist, writer, assignment/news desk editor, field producer and executive producer. For the last 5 years, Soltani served as VOA Persian's supervising executive producer, in charge of live and special programming. In 2018, she led the launch of VOA365, the USAGM 24/7 television channel to Iran. Born in Tehran, Iran, Soltani holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University and is fluent in Farsi in addition to English.
