What You Need To Bring


A valid form of identification is required to enter the VOA building.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires visitors and guests entering all federal facilities, including the VOA building, to present a valid U.S. federal or REAL ID compliant state-issued picture ID, such as a driver's license, passport or state-issued ID. On May 7, 2025, a state issued picture ID must be REAL ID compliant. Non-U.S. citizens are required to provide a passport. The building security guards will not accept other documents or waive these requirements. For more information about REAL ID, please visit: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Please keep in mind that all bags and visitors will be screened. Avoid bringing unnecessary belongings. Weapons and sharp objects are prohibited.

Prohibited items include but are not limited to the following:

  • Guns, firearms, and other weapons
  • Bladed, edged, or sharp objects
  • Explosives
  • Club-like items and striking devices
  • Incendiaries
  • Disabling/hazardous chemicals
