Carolina Bomeny is a news intern in the Portuguese to Africa service at VOA. She edits daily videos and news packages for live TV shows, web, and social media, writes and translates stories in Portuguese, pursues her own reporting, and more. After a summer of intense video and audio production exposure, she aims to become a multimedia reporter.
Carolina is a senior at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, studying International Relations and Journalism. Her concentration in Culture and Politics has allowed her to explore the intersection of technology and storytelling in shaping democracies. On campus, she reports for the student newsmagazine, The Georgetown Voice, and is a communications assistant and Student Fellows co-lead at The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics.
