The governor of Nigeria's Sokoto state, Alhaji Bafarawa, is visiting Voice of America headquarters today. While here, he will participate in a live democracy call-in show in Hausa. Sokoto state is located in northwestern Nigeria, and it is the religious headquarters of Nigerian Muslims as well as being the former seat of the historical Sokoto Caliphate of Uthman Dan Fodio.
