Richard Frantz joined Voice of America as the Division Director of Studio and Production Operations in March 2024. With 30+ years' experience, Frantz is a seasoned global broadcast technical and operational leader. He has an extensive background in production, technology, infrastructure, and management. Before joining VOA, Frantz was Vice President of Engineering Operations for the remote production company, F&F Productions. Other roles included Vice President of Global Service Delivery for SES Satellites, headquartered in Luxembourg; Head of Global Sports and Events Operations for the global media service company, MX1, headquartered in Israel; and Director of Operations and Engineering for both NBC Sports and the Comcast Network, based in Philadelphia. Frantz is a U.S. Navy veteran, finishing at the top of his class in all the Navy technical schools he attended. Frantz holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
